Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel has started the construction of
81km roads at different local government areas.
Works Commissioner, Ephraim Inyang, who disclosed this, said the roads
were in fulfilment of the governor’s campaign promise, to sustain and
provide critical infrastructure for the benefit of the people of the
state.
He said the administration will on September 22 start the construction
of Ndon Uyo and Etinan Roads, the bridge at Obot Akara and dualise Akwa
Ibom Airport Road to Oron Local Government Area.
The commissioner also identified paucity of funds as the bane of the
administration, saying if the governor had more funds residents of Akwa
Ibom will jump on the streets celebrating.
