The wife of the Cross River State Governor, Her Excellency, Dr. (Mrs.) Linda U. Ayade, has assumed office with an inspection tour of the office facilities at Moore Road, Calabar.
Speaking while inspecting facilities in her office recently in Calabar, Dr. (Mrs.) Ayade said, there was need to put her office in order by replacing some worn-out facilities, so as to enhance effective service delivery. According to her, the first thing to be given priority is the reconnection of light back to her office.
In a meeting with the members of staff in her office, Dr. (Mrs.) Ayade said it was nice meeting with all of them as well as working with them, adding that the issues raised by the various Departments would be addressed as soon as possible. Earlier, the members of staff used the occasion to welcome her to the office and also informed her of the various problems they are facing in their different Units.
In an interview with her Press Crew, Her Excellency said that, she has laudable programmes to embark upon which would be disclosed later, adding that, she was ready to work with the women in the State.
On her general assessment of the office, she disclosed that the place was okay and likes the serenity of the environment.
Also speaking, the Confidential Secretary to Her Excellency, Mr. Cletus Urim, said, as civil servants, they were ready and committed to putting in their best in order to enhance effective and efficient service delivery, if all provisions were made to the requirements they needed.
High points were; inspection of facilities in each of the Departments and prayers.
